I’ve never worked in food service and literally have NEVER heard anyone refer to silverware as a way of speaking to your server or cook.
Is this true? If so, I need to get ON IT!
Maybe we can use this at our house. Although, it would mean things like:
- I appreciate that you cooked for me
- I’d like more but I’ll get it myself, thanks
- Please may I cook tomorrow?
- I’ve got the dishes tonight
- Are you amazing because your food is
…or something like that.
